Domaine Epis The Williams Vineyard

{diam, 13%} Developed; mint, eucalypt. Classic Oz cabernet profile, with a little fleshy plummy merlot to sweeten it up. Medium weight, with soft dusty tannins. Subtle oak. Has softened nicely without showing great complexity. Medium length finish. Seems like it will continue to age another 5-10 years, but I doubt there'll be much true evolution. Pleasant now.

{diam, 13%} First time I've ever seen a diam seal stained two-thirds of the way up. Hmmm... The nose of this has only moved a little off primary, and is the quintessential Victorian cabernet from central casting; which is to say it smells of mint, mint and eucalypt.
