Muddled in the middle, overextracted. The components don't really come together and the oak is a bit obtrusive. Not my cup of tea.

I figured it was time to pull the trigger on my one-and-only bottle of this. With food... wise decision. On it's own... bad decision. I still can't believe how harsh the tannins are. Beautiful notes of cranberry, cedar/earth, flowers and blueberries. I do love these 'super Tuscans' because you get the 'old world' notes (cedar/earth) with some new world (blueberry). The tannins are still very harsh... so drink with food, or continue to hold. Very Good

In the mouth there is good tannin, supported by bright acidity and flavors of sour cherry, cranberries, and black berries. If...I had another bottle of this, I would wait to …

Dark red, wonderful nose of red to black fruit, on the palate, rich, tannic, spicy and acidic but all worked together to become an enjoyable Super Tuscan

This wine was poured at the Wine Spectator Grand Tour in Las Vegas earlier this month. The cepage on this Supertuscan is primarily Prunnolo/Sangiovese with Cabernet, Petit Verdot and Syrah in the blend. I am not sure of the exact percentages. A nice wine but one of the more disappointing at this event. It was nondescript and simple in comparison to the other Italians. Notes of cassis in this light to medium bodied wine. Might be better with food or …
