Dezzani Dolcetto d'Alba

1st AWFS Wine Dinner @ Buono (Buono Restaurant) : Boiled sweet winter melon boiled with red dates and slightly sweet cherries on the nose. Light and bright cherry flavours with some licourice bitterness but surprisingly fresh and not as bitter as one would expect an aged dolcetto to be.

Piedmont dinner (Buono Restaurant, Singapore) : Dark blackish wine, with the rim starting to turn garnet. Sweet nose, with figs and layered cherry / licorice flavours with a sweet preserved melon note peeking out at points and a touch of secondary meat and bramble accents. The palate showed great freshness, teetering on the brink of sourness which became more pronounced with time in the glass. Sweet dark cherry flavours at first, giving way to sour plum.
