In a great place. Fresh fruit with lots of rocky soil. This has improved over the last few years. Fantastic bargain.

100% Syrah, 60 y-o vines on granite soil, 40% whole cluster, aged in large neutral oak for 1 yr. Deep ruby. Med+ black fruit, blue fruit, smoke, meat, menthol, black pepper, stone. Improves with air. Dry, w/ med+ acidity, med+ tannins & high but well integrated alcohol (14.3%). A full bodied food wine, w/ med+ flavor intensity, w/ a smoky, peppery finish. Very good quality, classic St. Joseph. At its peak, with several years left. Good value.

Dark ruby/purple with minimal rim clearing Medium plus aromas - immediately meat/smoke, then beautiful ripe blueberry/ plum aromas Medium bodied with palate of fresh blackberry/ blueberry red florals with chalky/meaty finish Medium plus tannins, primarily tongue with medium plus acidity and medium plus alcohol Nice length led by fresh fruit and tannins Drinking well now but could hold another 5-7 years Really nice St Joseph with great structure

Double blind tasting Medium ruby with some purple. Mild rim clearing. Aromatics medium. Initially I noted and funk and VA versus some other non fruit aromatic. After the reveal, this was best described as smoke and meat. Dark red florality and a cleaning solution. Blueberry and other purple berries finish the nose. No new oak. Palate has a medium + body. Acid medium +. Tannins medium +, teeth and gums, medium grained. Alcohol medium +. Red and blue ripe fruits. …

Very nice. Seems to be ready to drink for sure, great mouthfeel and reserved tannin. The fruit is very nice, and not overshadowed by overly meaty/peppery/smoky notes as some Rhone syrah can have (not my usual preference)

Triple decanted. Drank over 2 hours. Very approachable wine. Medium bodied, with the weight of a great Oregon Pinot and nice acidity. Leather & meat on the nose. Some nice black fruit on the taste with a consistent finish. Great with Mediterranean takeout. Great food wine. Probably at its peak right now?

Dark violet with mild rim clearing Medium plus aromas of ripe cherry/ blueberry and smoked meat/ black olive aromas Medium plus bodied with palate of blueberry/ meat and tapenade Medium plus acidity with medium plus tannins, primarily on the tongue - medium alcohol Checks all the classic N Rhone Syrah boxes - quite elegant and well balanced So much more open and expressive than previous tasting notes - this is ready for drinking now but will age gracefully for 5-10 …

Red fruit, little bit of blackberry/raspberry jam flavor, slight minerality. Mild and round tannins, balanced acidity, and a medium to long finish.

The taste of northern rhone syrah, the way i like it. Very good effort here. Dark fruits, mild and rounded tanins, but still punchy. Will benefit from a couple more years in the cellar but very nice now.

Deep purple color Medium aromas - sweet red/ blue fruit - no secondaries to speak of Medium plus bodied with primarily blueberry palate - pretty one dimensional Medium plus acidity with medium plus alcohol and medium tannins Hopefully this wine is in a dumb phase as it really wasn't anything special

Medium purple Aromatics medium, mainly black fruit. Palate has a medium + body. Acid medium +. Tannins medium +, fine on the tongue. Alcohol medium +. Dark cherry and plums Finish has a medium + length. Balanced Overall, mainly fruit without the savory aspects of Syrah. Enjoyable but not distinctive. Seemed less impressive than my 2021 tasting note.

Beau syrah. Profound colour, delicious nose with a bit of complexity. Medium to full-bodied taste, very fruit driven, civilised tannins and a long finish. Elegant St Joseph, a pleasure to drink now and the next few years.

Flot vin.

By the glass. Based on a powerful syrah grape, smoked and spicy. Lack of elegance and excess of power. Granite I could not find anywhere but still I like it considering what it is.Typical and tasty wine. Por copas. Basado en una uva syrah potente, ahumada y especiada. Falta elegancia y sobra poderio. El granito no lo pude encontrar por ninguna parte pero aun así me gusta considerando lo que es.Típico y sabroso.

Young, plump and juicy. Very clean syrah notes of raspberry, tar and black olive. Slightly bitter in the aftertaste which I didn't mind. I like it very much at this stage and will earmark them for early drinking but I am not going to rush.
