Thurston Wolfe Zinfandel Howling Wolfe

Falling somewhere between purple and red, this opaque Zin is a curiosity piquer from first pour. Initial nose was quite big and brambly, but after about thirty minutes it began to sing dark cherry, blackberry and lots of spice. White pepper and clove being the most forward of them. this bottle seemed to be oaky than i recalled from last bottle about 3 months ago. will wait another 9-12 months. well made though. score not higher because of the oak.
