Yellow color. Bright acidity. Bitter finish. Distinctive & unique expression of the terroir.

Day 2. Mineral palate, big acid, but a plump texture to the palate. No fruit in particular. No funk tonight.

The wine was the base for poached salmon and the dinner wine. It provided the minerality for the sauce as well as a pleasant midsummer dinner wine.

Salty bitter mineral, lemon and lime. Others called this as much more funky than I found it. Has a very charming old world about it. Lots of mineral. On the palate, it gets just a touch stinky. Still easy drinking, there's just a whisper of funky in there. Green onion, perhaps that suggests mercaptan formation, or maybe it's that end of sulphur-ishness. Similar feelings to my previous reviewed bottle just without any grass notes and a bit more mineral notes. Very good one.

Pale yellow. Subtle nose of lime, grapefruit, while the palate shows broadly the same flavours. A tad watery in the mid palate with very bitter and slightly green aftertaste.

Light to medium lemon-yellow. Expressive and mostly fruity nose of peach, grapefruit and sandy minerality. Medium-bodied with med+ acidity and a medium but excessively bitter aftertaste that spoils the overall impression. Not an unusual feature for Santo Wines assyrtikos. An isue that should be fixed...otherwise a good young assyrtiko.
