Unfortunately unlike the other people that rated this wine I have to give it a thumbs down. It sampled it without food. If you like a sour grapefruit taste maybe this wine is for you. This by far the most tart sour Sauvignon Blanc I have ever had.

Very complex. Great nose - grass, lemon rind, mineral/stone, grapefruit, white peach and touch of petrol on nose. Palate was similar ex petrol. Full body, medium+ acidity and long finish. 91+

Another lovely showing - very similar notes to the prior bottle. Again 92 points.

Very pale in colour with a watery straw rim. Intense to very intense, fragrant, typical NZ SB, with assertive gooseberry, tart apple nose. Maybe some nettles - vey varietally correct. Palate is more of the same, light and fresh with bright fresh crisp apple and gooseberry fruit, with a little lime on the finish. A little on the more pricey side for a NZ SB but this is well worth it, with a really nice balance and great length.

A whole lot going on in this SB that I would have pinned in the Loire not NZ. A mouthful of citrus with grapefruit dominant, but hints of lime there. Rounds out to a nice honey finish. Really enjoyable.

Really, really nice. Light yellow, bordering on white with green tinges at the edges. Nose of grass, hay, lemons, oranges, tangerines. Acid is very balanced. Green apples, tangerines, passion fruit. Finish lasts for about 2 minutes. Time to get some cheese and fish!

Really, really liked this wine. Beautiful yellow/green color. Aroma of citrus especially tangerine. On palate, green apple, lemon and tangerine. Near perfect acid. lingers unlike most whites. Yummy classic NZ SB.

New Zealand London Annual Trade Tasting (Lindley Hall, Royal Horticultural Halls) : The nose shared the same character with the Petit Clos but feels more full and dense and with riper fruit. The palate shows more complexity and density as well, high acidity , the fruit is more pronounced too but the vegetal follows close behind, still too fresh for me, petrol hints (?), med+ finsih, give it some time. Needs food as it is now. Very good quality

TN:suitably pale; this is subtle sauvignon; grassy, pea pod, with hints of smokiness, talcum powder & a whiff of Turkish delight; tangy, rounded, has depth; finishes vigorously but without being a varietal caricature. French influence not overt. Drink sooner than later. score 15>
