The other tasting notes are right on; obviously the wine is more mature now. Very good and ready to drink, in my opinion.

drank on june 25th, 2020 I bought this on release direct from the domaine. color - young pinot colors, transparent . nothing to be alarmed about nose - this from the start started a bit shy, showing hints of red fruit, sour cherry palate - this opened up right from the start very well balanced but a tad closed. it needed some decanting. 30 minutes in the carafe then put on the table to drink over an hour or so. …

On the nose I found crushed raspberry, wild herbs, tobacco, black earth, and hints of stone dust. Satiny textures on the palate were contrasted by angular and crisp red berry fruits, followed by minerals and wild herbs. There was great energy on the palate to balance it’s zesty fruits. The finish was medium-long with chewy tannins and tart red berries. This is simply a pleasure to drink.
