Dark red, clear. Muted nose, almost Pinot in character, with strawberry, pepper. Medium tannins and acidity. Somewhat off balance on the palate, with not everything melding. It's very sweet, which may help hide the 15.4% alcohol. The flavors are okay, but this is not a refined Zin. I would not buy this again.

This is a well-aged Zin from Napa with a bold and dark ruby color. The nose is dark fruit, esters, black pepper, and has a spicy character. This is a full bodied chewy Zin with a good fruit and big tannin even after 7 years this is still very drinkable and enjoyable. Drink it now don’t wait any longer.

Poured through Vinturi first night, straight from the bottle (okay, via a proper glass) on the third night. Black and blue fruit, jammy with a bit of prune that isn't my fave. Good acidity and softened tannins. Was a good bottle overall, but by the same token I'm not unhappy that it was my last.

initially tight with dry chalky cherry; opened up quickly with dusty raspberry and cherry, earth, spice, some wood; good mid palate; good fruit and balance; great with veggie pizza and elegant enough to match with the salads.

Nose - lots of fruit, mild heat early, and some white pepper. Tongue - Lots and lots of fruit, a bit of briar, and little vanilla, and a hint of herb(?). Reminds me of a less bold, less integrated Talty Felice Conolly. That's not bad, but at this price I would expect more. Tried alone and with cheese bread. Overall Rating reflects a $30 price tag, which seem $10 too much considering everything else out there.
