Pop and pour and followed for a few hours. Better after an hour. Tasted blind. Very nice aromas of brambly blackberries, black raspberries, pepper, smoke, clove, a hint of new leather, earth, flowers, and wet clay. Relatively muted flavors of blackberries, plums, spice, earth, and a touch of ink. Lowish acidity, smooth tannins, medium finish, flirts a little with heat. Overall, this was a nice Zinfandel.
