Not my normal style, but beautifully made Cabernet with lots of concentration and intensity. Nothing overripe here, but it's quite full bodied and assertive. Heaps of blackcurrant fruit and spice, there's a great backbone of acidity and some rather supple tannin. Nice medium finish. Susana Balbo is indeed a great winemaker, but I always get her stamp on the wine rather than that of the terroir.

Impressive for sub-$20 wine. Demonstrates the quality of offerings coming from Argentina. Berries and flowers upfront, medium balance for cab (note 10% malbec), smooth finish. Not complex: just solid all the way through.

This is a really nice example of the goodness available from Chile when you jump up to the mid $20 price range. This one has had the advantage of a few extra years of bottle age that only helps it's approachability. Extremely dark purple color. Upgraded, refined nose of vanilla, oak, mature buttery blueberry and plum. Intense, sophisticated palate of deep, rich black fruit. Totally coats the roof of the mouth with French oak enhanced, buttery blueberry and mulberry. Mature …

Nothing special; mellow cab but taste all merlot. Had Tilia cab last week: better at half the cost.

One hour decant. Nice vanilla nose with a full mouth feel. First bottle of half case and looking forward to tannic finish to mature over next couple years.

Nice basic cab with no faults. Not an "oh my gosh" wine. Exactly what you expect from a Cab.

It was tasted with a head cold so no add'l notes, thought it tasted pretty good.

Nose of spice box, smoke, coffee, and tobacco. Juicy plum and current flowing into a tannic finish with nice backbone.

Not much to write home about here - pretty standard, too much oak, flavours dont really sing, but relatively well balanced. Fair for the $

This really showed poorly -- oak juice with no structure; remaining bottles go to my daughter and her friends

- Crimsom color with fast forming legs. It's overly acidic with a medium body. Bright texture with a short finish - Aerator used. Not much on the nose...tobacco, blackberry, earth, and pepper. On the palate, plum, blackberry, tobacco, and pepper. Medium body and short finish. No legs. Slightly acidic with unpolished tannins. Would not purchase again, but would be willing to try the next vintage.

Not much on the nose. Little to jammy and a little immature. Hints of yeast and unopened fruit. Consumer Reports liked it but I won't put this on my wish list

Fruity enough, but it exhibits a bit too much oak. There's enough body and depth yet it's ruined by the oak.

Light smoke seaweed currant and cola with a currant tart cedar palate and similar finish. The herbal character has disappeared with the additional time in the bottle.

Solid QBR, nicely drinkable pop-n-pour. Fairly aggressive fruit-forward Argentine cab, but well-balanced enough to avoid being unreasonably hot or tannic. Definitely don't find it to be the Cabernet value of the decade like Garagiste proclaims, but a solidly worthwhile $10 bottle.

Drinks like a fruity chianti. Balanced tannin and acid, though a bit shallow on both., probably not going age long, but great at $10.
