Consistent with recent notes. Needs some air but is drinking well, nicely balanced

Nice enough upon P&P, but 60-90 minutes later, much improved, with subdued formerly sweet back tones to very nice mature fruit, very smooth on palate. I would probably buy more at my original price on 12/29/11 of $26 if it had been carefully cellared like this bottle.

Feminine aromas- roses and cherry Italian soda. Open, easygoing, integrated. Mellow and lighthearted. Paired with pasta carbonara.

On opening closed and charmless, give this wine a good two hour's decant to express itself. Garnet, with definite alcoholic legs ( 14.5% ), the nose opens out to show sweet cherries, strawberries, hints of rose Turkish Delight, balsamic and leather, mint, vanilla, tobacco, and charcoal. Acidity is still high, with flavours of cooked plums, cranberries ,and tobacco, with a finish of dry tannin, and tobacco. Time and air will reveal this wine's quality. Mature , but with at least …

Not a great Barolo but showing some fresh fruits and minerals from its surface, but overall rather closed and discrete.

Expressive, floral and balsamic notes, spices and cherries on the nose. The relatively high alcohol is well integrated, quite bright and fresh, not overly complex or long, but well made. 90-92

Quite dark in appearance Oak evident, overshadows the fruit somewhat. Very chewy tannins. Nice, & good value.

Let it breath an hour. Paired well with sweeter foods(Italian) such as the baratta cheese drizzled with balsamic vinegar, bread and butter. Did not pair well with a delicious pork some had; tasted more alcohol and not fruit

Not as good as I remember it to be when I tried it at release. First bottle out of a case of 6. A bit unbalanced, acidity quite pronounced, not overly expressive fruit. Grippy tannins. A bit restrained still, so probably best to give this more cellar time. 89-90+

Less concentrated than better producers but still offering violets, wet leaf and a good vein of acidity. 2 hour decant needed to do it justice. Really vg value if bought en primeur.

Not sure what went wrong here. I've been buying two bottles of every 2010 barolo I see and popping one immediately just for kicks. And surprisingly, I'd say 75% are already amazing! But this is the worst one I've had. It's sherried. Vinegar. Orange. Seems like it's a 30 year old poorly stored bottle. Acidic. No fruit. I hate to be a Debbie Downer but this bottle was no good.

This Barolo was a little tight when first opened (2015) however it breathes well. Spices on the nose with bacon fat and mild red fruit tannins on the palate. A bit acidic which suggests a 5-10 year cellar window.

Medium bright red garnet in color. Forward, fragrant & attractive nose of youthful, ripe red fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & cranberries with floral notes of roses, minerals, spices, earthy, mint, dusty & dried herbs. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced, silky smooth textured, youthful ripe red fruit flavors of sweet cherries, strawberries & cranberries with dried herbs, mint, earthy, minerals & spices. Lingering finish. Quite forward with decanting & airing but should develop further with additional …

Med dark with tawny edge. Fresh, bright and tightly wound nose. This is yummy for its fruit and acid today but also a candidate for long term cellaring

Decant 2 hours. With linguine Alfredo (lots of garlic). Bright red cherry nose with some strawberries and a hint of mint. Follows through on the palate with the cherries dominant. Some leather and the mintiness does sneak through. Rounded tannins that leave a lingering after of all the above notes but still crisply ties it all up. So very young and will only get better but with the right mindset this can work now. Delightful small winery in La Morra. …

Decanted; clear cherry garnet color, fresh nose of fruit roll-up or hard candy with rose and menthol overtones; fresh perfumed palate of a melange of raspberry, plum and even trailing blueberry with espresso, licorice and wood flavors, moderate acidity and mouth coating, almost parching tannins. Way better than the last bottle which was clearly flawed. Drinking well, very good value ($26).

good fruit, nice tannin that weren't too tight, nice acidity, a bit more new world style (ready to drink instead of needing 20 more years to mature) worth the price.

I am neutral on this wine. Decanted. Cloudy moderately deep garnet. Consumed a few weeks ago. Initially was a little tight but opened up for a short time only to flatten out over the next day. Flawed?

My third bottle of this wine (see previous notes). Clear dark garnet with a brick tint. Nose of black cherry, licorice, roses, and vanilla. Light to medium palate of black cherry, plum, anise, cedar, spice, and minerals. Excellent length. Bright acidity. Sweet young tannins. Drinking well, especially on day 2. A somewhat feminine Barolo, almost a contradiction in terms.

Light clear garnet. Nose of cherry, dust, menthol, and vanilla. Light, refreshing palate of black cherry, strawberry, minerals, and vanilla. Very good length. Nice acidity. Silky texture. Supple tannins. A whiff of alcohol. An elegant style of Barolo. Pretty accessible for its age. Excellent QPR.

Garnet red. Medium intensity, Dark/forest fruits on the nose. Autumn leaves and also some liqorice as well. In the mouth medium bodied with this vintage characteristic powerfull structure. Young/unripe tannins and nice fruit(cherrystone), but unfortunately some alcohol comes through (Not much). Dry finnish, good length. Fine wine but not sure of its potential. Nice value for the money though.

Light clear garnet with a faintly brick rim. Nose of earth, flowers, cherry, menthol, and vanilla. Ripe medium palate of ripe cherry, strawberry, licorice, and minerals. Excellent length. Refreshing acidity. Youthful tannins. Silky texture. An elegant, balanced style of Barolo. At this price, I gotta get some more bottles!

Deep red color with slight bricking at the edges. Medium bodied. Very gentle nose, with red fruits and some dust. More earth/dust on the palate, as well as lots of plums. Silky smooth; well balanced; gentle tannins and nice, crisp acidity. Elegant, restrained, well-made wine, needs only 30-45 minutes to breathe, ready to drink now but should last (or improve) for a good while longer.
