Not a bad quaffer. Light, very little fruit, touch of spice. Bakance is ok but the medium long finish throws it a touch.

It's not pinot trying to be something else in all fairness, but it'll never win friends for the variety. As the second label for Pipers Brook I feel this is always made down to a price; it's drinkable and …

Dinner at Jeffery's (His House) : Quite nice. This won't win any converts but as a cool-climate Pinot goes this was rather enjoyable. Simple and refreshing juice.

Built to be enjoyed now, pleasant but simple. Cherry nose, light weight palate of cherry and spice. A balanced finish, although not a lot of depth. Fine tannins.
