Drank with 2005 Syrah. This show the Grenache with brighter cherry fruit and slight sweetness which is why I rate it slightly lower. Did have a tad more acid. Still nice wine.

Heavenly smoky nose. Medium/full bodied. Fruity, smoky, bold. Lost a little pizzazz on day 2, but still very very tasty.

Monthly Double Blind Tasting - 11/21/2010 (Farpointe Cellar) : Tasted double blind. The wimp was medium red and clear. Smoky with lots of forest floor, the nose also had bright cherry and raspberry. Nutmeg and cinnamon filled everything out. It was slightly sweet on the palate. It had raspberry and cherry, barnyard on the mid-palate, and a smoky finish.

Bright ruby color. Earthy red berry nose. Taste of blackberry, cherry and charred oak. Well balanced. Smooth finish with some depth.
