Weingut Carsten Saalwächter Riesling Kalkstein

Popped and poured. Medium straw color. Very tight on the nose. Not much coming through other than some flinty mineral notes. On the palate, this wine is very tightly wound and hardly showing any fruit. Slight hints of lemon perhaps but mostly mineral driven, rocky flavors. High acidity. Should have decanted this but instead sealed back up and will revisit on Day 2. Will likely not open remaining bottle for another couple of years. Certainly not what I would call …
