At the cork pull, a little reductive stink on top of some top of some white fruited-ness. Palate is out of sight. focused white fruit, a little reduced, but more accented with floral than reductive qualities Pretty, and seamless on the palate. Just a little bit of bitter to foil the generous texture. Medium body, neutral oak appeal. Fine.

Yellow fruit, stone fruit, citrus rind and almonds. Hints of flour and grass. Slightly oily, a little chewy texture. 100% Palomino from 400-750 m asl, skin-macerated for a week, new chestnut barrels and used chestnut and oak. Lacked a little minerality and acidity to reach all the way for me, nevertheless a nice wine. Drink chilled.

Mid straw. Lots of interest on the nose. A lovely mineral chewiness leading to a fabulous textural quality, and plenty of interest. Almond blossom notes. Excellent. ****

Wow. Wheat paste and white flower aromas. Has some orange vitamin to the nose too. Palate is outstanding. Light tannin. Medium bodied. 12.5%. Has some mineral (not quite chalk) that rides out the finish. Really, really good.

This was a spectacular wine in so many different ways! 80+ year-old Palomino vines lead into a rich, concentrated wine that has notes of apple cider, yeast, wet stone, almond, and bracing acidity. Can't wait to see how the other bottles progress!

Mid straw. Distinctive nose, but really quite hard to place. Slightly oatmeally. Quite chewy and textural on the attack, plenty of interest, a sense of tannin from the skin contact perhaps. Some mid-palate density and weight and a rhone-like alluring note of apricot and almond kernel. Lots of mineral line on the positive finish. Multi-faceted. There's lots here, intriguing and satisfying. Look forward to revisiting. ****

Fresh and saline, although acidity is moderate. Pear, melon and distinct licorice. I sense the slighest hints of fino Sherry in the aftertaste, especially as temperature rised. Very slender and the alcohol by volume of 12.5 feels like less to me. Nice wine at a good price!
