20 Old Bordeaux grand cru classe - vertical and horizontal semi blind Wine tasting dinner (DK-Frederiksberg) : Tasted against vintage 1957. Impressive fruitiness after so many years in both vintages. However a little bit of TCA in 1957 which gets worse after some time in the glass. Vintage 1958 is flawless and after some time in the glass it gets better and better and ends with a score of 90++.

Beautiful wine, especially for a vintage of relatively low repute. Fabulously Pessac - dark fruit, loads of smoke, cedar, baked brick, pencil. Very Pessac and certainly very La Mission. Thinning out on the palate; enjoy it now. 95-96. Glad that my bottle showed better than Schuster's.
