Clear, goldy rust, with white rim, wide and joined up tear moving quickly. Clean, full intensity, with aromas of marmalade, honey, tinned oranges, ripe peaches. Sweet, full bodied, full alcohol, med acidity, light tannins, complexity on the palette and the finish, further tastes of overripe pineapples, treacle, orange peel and Turkish Delights. Delightfully thick and a super long finish

Is this a ice wine? Body is full. Sweet but it has some acid. The uniqueness is the pineapple favourite, though quite subtle.

What a power house. Drank over 2 days. Decanted 1½ hours. Opaque dark red/black color. Lots of fruit, powerfull, tannins, it must the roussanne that gives it a bit of sweetness . Second day it had mellowed a bit. But still a powerfull wine. At this stage it is simple. It will last for a long time. Wait 3 to 4 years on next bottle. Very interesting wine, as always with wines from d'Arenberg. Good quality. Very nice.

Orange gold color. Aromas of tropical fruits, apricots and quince. Ripe fruit in the mouth with very good acidity and excellent depth and length. Very thick and silky on the palate without being heavy. An outstanding value!

NDP 2014 party (Pine Close) : Tasted blind. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, gold colour. Thick legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with lovely aromas of marmalade, butterscotch, honey, sweet glue, and a bit of petroleum. On the palate, sweet, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (12.3%), full body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of marmalade, butterscotch, honey, apricots. Medium+ finish. Clear botrytis character. Good quality sweet wine. I would have liked more acidity and complexity, but overall still very enjoyable, and …

Drank this at a dinner at home with sushi and sashimi. We later added french fries, fried sotong balls, taiwan sausages and chips to the table. Although noble rot was involved in the making of this wine, the botrytis is not overbearing but adds a touch of tropical fruits, such as pineapple and passion fruit to the flavour. Bought this at a wine fair and I would agree that this wine is excellent value for money.

Patina: intense ice wine-like, brilliant fruits, crunchy, good acidity, fennel, spice, apricot. Really good. W/Harry's Berries Strawberry. Fantastic. Maybe 93.

I get mostly apricot on the nose, with a touch of orange peel. The palate is all orange, butterscotch and rich, deep, honeycomb. It has a pretty heavy mouthfeel and fantastic long finish with a hint of spearmint. I have to say that I don’t have a sweet tooth at all but I really like this.

Popped and poured. No formal notes. Typical tropical fruit notes, very explosive on the nose and palate with some marizpan and grassy notes sprinkled on top the attack of pinapples, apricots, peach fuzz and stone. A tab flabby for my liking but when chilled does help. But pretty good for the money.
