Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) Sauvignon Blanc Los Vascos

Opened this at home to celebrate the 7th day of the Lunar New Year with my in-laws and their extended relatives. We ordered food from Tung Lok. Bright yellow, with notes of fresh cut grass, capsicum, wet rocks and Chinese pear. Fresh minerals with a crisp finish.

Opened this last night at Yang Ming Seafood (Ubi) over dinner with an ex-colleague. We had thai fried bee hoon, nonya squid, prawn paste chicken and stir fried long beans. Pale greenish gold in colour, with fresh acidity, cut grass, wet rocks, fresh limes, minerals, and crisp green apples. Well balanced and satisfying.
