Youthful and still a bit broody and four square but I sense potential. Revisit in another year or two.

An easy and smooth Bordeaux, but lacking complexity and body.

A bright ruby, medium bodied wine. Leading off with effusive scents of violets, followed by black cherry and hints of earthiness. Soft and supple with tastes of dusty black cherry and oak. The finish is black cherry, violets and some oak. Very tight and angular initially, it opens up nicely to showcase a very solid Bordeaux Superieur at a very reasonable price.

Dark fruit, a strong and slightly rustic oak treatment here, even a hint of brett, smooth tannins, some dark chocolate and tobacco. A simple Bordeaux that tries to be more than it is. - 86 points

Corks: Bordeaux (Rossford, OH) : Butterscotch and dusty dark fruit on the nose. Concentrated, relatively ripe, black cherry, ager. Structured and very dry.

Decanted. Pretty good, better than the 2005 second wine from Giscours I recently had. Nice nose, medium body and pleasant palate. Ready to drink.

Decanted for one hour. Lighter bodied. Dark fruits. Smooth and the tannins are mostly resolved. Straightforward, good with food.

After 1-2 hours of air contact, the aroma stabilized and exhibited some dark fruit, oak, and a spicy note. Also, a small brett component. On the palate, this was firm, tannic, and had some balance issues with the fruit-acid finish. Overall, still a good offering for the price, nice and average Bordeaux Superieur.

Very deep, dark color. Dry wine but with ripe fruit evident. Light to medium bodied. Savory and soft. Dried herbs. I kept some to try on day 2. It seemed a bit more firm and lively. Not a lot going on here. Nicely balanced. Easy, uncomplicated Bordeaux for current drinking. Solid value.

Dark color, earthy nose, not too overpowering. Opened and aroma was rich with cassis and blackcurrant. Same after day one and day two. Some fruit in the front palate, OK balance with acidity in mid-palate. Back-end had moderate to rich tannins, even after 2-3 days in the refrigerator. Overall a good Bordeaux relative to Bordeaux Superieur's that I have tried. This wine is a blend of 95% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1% Petit Verdot. (44 views)

Bought on recommendation from Mario Vitale at West Point Market in Akron, Ohio. Uncorked and decanted for 2 hours before tasting. A dark red with a nose of dark berries, cassis and oak. Even after 2 hours decanting this was very tannic. It was not very complex and it was difficult to get to any fruit behind the tannic structure. The next day it was much better after airing out for 24 hours. The fruit was more forward and continued …

Small bottle,375ml.Very dark red.Nose initially restrained,after1 hour airing some dark berries and plums. On the palate quite tannic, with dark fruitiness, plums, perhaps a hint of liquorice.Acidity dominates, and the fruitiness appears to be a little thin for this to be cellared for several years.Or the fruitiness is possibly masked by the tannins.

Depp red with rose around the edges. Tannins up front, dries out your mouth, over powering. Though the tannins do soften after being open for about 1 hr and become more balanced. The cheery chocolat is aloowed to come out. Very much an old word style that you need to almost pull the flavours out.
