Domaine Rochette Côte de Brouilly

Aerated in the wine glass for 1hr Not one of the better Cru Beaujolais, but still enjoyable with food, very young primarily of tart red cherries. Bright uplifting wine in construct, light - medium body, acid +, maybe it still needs a few more years to come together.

Quite juicy and luscious, perhaps to be expected so for the vintage of 2009, this shows ripe cherries, pepper, earth, and Kool-Aid. At $15, this is quite good.

Lovely purple color. Medium body. Lots of dark fruits and spices; smooth texture, crisp acidity. Well balanced, with some grippy tannins. Drinks well now, but could really use a while longer in the cellar.

Decanted for about 1.5 hours. Medium purple color. A nice mix of old and new world aromas and flavors with tart red fruit and some earthy undertones, but lacking a bit of the minerality, bloody meat aspects I have come to expect from cru beaujolais. Maybe this was just a bit too young at the moment but for me it was a bit simple. Still enjoyable though and worked well with food.

Beautiful purple color. Nose of strawberries and fresh cream. The palate is tangy red fruits and herbs. Very delicious with a nice long finish that never overpowers. $19.99 OH Retail

2009 Beaujolais Outside (Beebe House) : Wine #2 in in Tasting. On nose, very floral, brighter fruit than wine before (raspberry / dark cherry). On palate, high acids, medium body. Raspbery / strawberry - medium finish. Preferred this wine to Lavernette. 90+.

Sensational cru Beaujolais with intense cherry, earth and sweet spices flavors.It is meaty, a bit funky, concentrated, perfectly balanced and finishes so smooth.Completely blown away !!! can't wait to try their morgon !
