A medley of fruit flavor's which did not add up to much. Spicy palette and a lingering finish which I would describe as bell peppers cooked over charcoal. Tasted alongside 10 other wines over a Thanksgiving Day dinner. The wines included La Jota 1996 & La Jota 2011, 1990 Opus One, 2012 Pott Vineyards The Arsenal, 1985 Masi Amarone, 2012 Outpost Cabernet (regular bottling), 1986 Monticello Vineyards Cabernet Corey Reserve, 2005 St Francis Anthem 2005, 2012 Whitehall Lane Cabernet (regular …

Good, but not as good as I expected. I liked some of the other St. Francis wines better

No notes, but it didn't seem to have the waxiness noted in the Sept 2013 tasting.

This Anthem was the best of the vintages I've tasted and still has lots of years to go. Rich, earthy flavors, with both red and black fruit characteristics and very nicely oaked.

Nothing exciting - there's fruit, oak, and tannins but there's an odd waxiness to the whole thing.

This wine has lost any oak influence leaving a great mouthful of fruit. Farly complex flavors of red and black fruits. Decent length and a nice complement to a rib-eye. Can't remember what my first one was like, so will be interesting to compare to my previous note.

Poor finish after 2 hours and a decanting. Tossed the bottle.

Perfect time to open the bottle. Decanted for about 30 minutes. Full flavor of dark fruits, light tannins, and the nose was light and not overpowering.

6 months an an aerator has improved this wine. It is definitely a bit closed. i will wait to drink the rest. This wine is an interesting blend. a little lighter and thinner than the blend suggests. Great flavor, balanced alcohol and medium tannins.

Very interesting wine, not as fruity as most wine that comes from Sonoma, but with a lot of potential, I think, to develop into something unusual and complex. Will wait awhile to open my other bottles, however--

Not as good as expected. A little thin on flavors. i expected something a little bolder. I will wait and see how the other bottles turn out. A good but not great wine so far.

Nice notes of Cab and Malbec on the nose. Noticeable alcohol on the nose, but not burning. Vanilla and purple/dark fruits. Smooth on the palate, but some alcohol and acid on the residual / finish which is moderate. Nice wine.

Got this bottle from winestilsoldout.com for $25 and took over to mom/dad's house for Father's Day dinner (grilled steaks, veggies, and corn-on-the-cob). I was really looking forward to trying this wine. I get e-mails all day from WTSO.com and only buy wines from them once or twice a year. When I got the e-mail for this wine, I did some light research and this seemed like it could be a real winner/bargain. This is a Bordeaux blend (but not your …

A nose of dark fruit, dark amber in color. A full bodied blend of the kitchen sink of varietals, blackberry, currants, licorice and dark chocolate, very dry, good but a bit disjointed.

Dark red color with faint notes of black licorice on the nose- a very tight wine. Velvety black fruit with chocolate notes caress the pallate with soft silky tannins. A full bodied wine with bright acids built for development. There's a lot of great fruit hiding in the bottle that will require another 3- 5 years to develop. This wine is very interesting- a reverse Meritage. The primary varietals are Malbec and Petite Verdot with smaller amounts of Cabernet Savignon, …
