Two Great Old Burgundy Dinners with Dear Friends; 12/4/2015-12/5/2015 : Well, talk about being frozen in time. Observing the full ruby color of this wine as it came out of the decanter, one could have easily imagined a 10 year old wine rather than one with six decades under its belt. Very, very good for what it is, though I'm not sure how much of what it is is what it says it is. Like all of the other Thorins I've had, I'm convinced there is some grenache in here. Whatever it is, it is very ripe and sunny with a glossy, saucy veneer and sweet compote berry flavors.
