Full bodied pinot with dark fruit up front and bigger tannins that I would typically expect from a pinot. More akin to a cab or hot climate California pinot than one typically from Willamette. Definitely an enjoyable bottle still but best paired with a richer meal vs typical Oregon Pinot. Earthy notes come through as the bottle opens up.

Strawberry, sage, earthy. More blue fruit with balanced acidity and long finish. Good stuff. In a good place.

I think I might have waited a little too long to open this guy, it felt a bit still fermenting and some noticeable bubbles showed up when I popped it. I did settle a bit after a while and I enjoyed it.

This wine is all chocolate and iron. It has the trademark balance of Beaux Freres, but among the lineup this one is the most brooding and massive Coffee, coffee cake, mocha, cinnamon, iron filings. Tight gripping tannins. This will please crossover Cab drinkers. Great wine but I prefer the more elegant and floral offerings from the label.
