Anima Negra, AN 2, Mallorca VT

Alter sichtbar: leichter bräunlicher Rand. Nase indifferent, kommt erst stärker nach 1 Std. Am Gaumen erstaunlich kräftig, leichte Alterfirnis (Tawny-Ton) spürbar, macht den Wein aber interessant, da gute Säure und zwischen süß und bitter wechselnder Extrakt. Liebstöckel, Brühwürfel, Mandeln...Toll! Hält sicher noch ein paar Jahre auf diesem Niveau (G++)

Ein toller Wein mit allem was ich liebe. Körperreich, viel Frucht und ein langer harmonischer Abgang. Lecker!

Fresh, clear red colour with nice curtains on the glass; floral scents in the nose; wonderful rich taste with lost of sun and longlasting on the palate. Was still at 80% the following day. Definitely worth recommending if you can lay your hands on a bottle.

Aromas of dark fruit and saw dust. Dark fruit, saw dust, dark chocolate, vanilla, mint on the palate. Smooth. Better after aerate for 2 hours. A bit more overt fruit vs 2005.

Red purple, earthy tones. Nose: Light fragances, red fruit, licorice, some toasted, medicinal aroma that with aeration becomes smoky aromas, leather. Palate: Tannins present, nice. Wood still integrating. Predominantly red fruit, leather. Easy drinker. Fruity aftertaste that leaves a slight dryness. A more clssic style compared to other wines form the region. Good QPR.

velvety, fruity, smooth, gorgeous.

Vanilla, sweet cherries, butter. Cream Sherry notes in the nose.

Very complex - Cherries and a hint of liquorice and caramel. Red-Brown reflexes.

Although almost all is callet, in my opinion this wine has a pinot body and grenache heart. First, because its colour, and second because its yummy nose. Let it breathe and you will find also pepper and a savory note probably due to its mediterranean origin. Enjoy it.

Grape variety: 65% Callet, 20% Mantonegre and Fogoneu (all three indigenous varietals to the island of Mallorca) and 15% Syrah. The wine was aged for 14 months in barrels (70% French and 30% American oak). A nicely ruby-red colored wine with delicate aromas of black cherry, pepper, eucalypt and a hint of chocolate.
