After a couple of years, this is still a great example of VA Bordeaux style wine. Deep color, distinct ruby red with a slight purple on edge. Fun nose of dark chocolate, licorice, mint and mixed dark berries. Nice middle weighted wine with big flavors that play across palate, silkiness that last across the palate and very limited/subtle tannins throughout. Got a taste with owner. Bright red color. Nose, bright sharp red fruit, lots of good heat. Dances on palate, starts smooth and builds with bright red fruit. Finish has a big cedar smoke note. Really lovely, light bodied red wine.
