Hans und Philipp Grassl Zweigelt Classic

A lurid, opaque ruby. Dark and reduced on the nose with aromas of boysenberry, tar and black pepper. Medium bodied on the palate with high, mouthwatering acid, medium tannin, flavors of sour cherry and ruby grapefruit, and a dry, medium length finish. Charming but rustic and lacking generosity. Good table wine. Nice with tonkatsu and cabbage salad. Drink over the next 2 or 3 years.
