Dusty cherry, the "most masculine wine we do" notes Elisabetta Gnudi. Sangiovese 100%, "maybe the most peculiar wine for the US because of the acidity, maybe the americans find this unusual. We like this wine because of the acidity".

Not offensive in any way other than it doesn't show anything. Just sits there as a clean medium bodied wine . Left half a bottle for a couple days in the frig and it improved some.

A Weekend of Solid Wines; 2/25/2011-2/27/2011 (Washington, D.C.) : nose showed a bit of alcohol. some figs and magic marker. the palate has low acid, lots of oak and blue fruit. totally guessed this as a spanish tempranillo when tasting it blind. pleasant but lacks enough balance to make it more interesting.

I am told that this is made by the winemakers of Caparzo; this comes off as a bit pedestrian; inoffensive, safe.
