Dark red, black core --- Nose shy, some red fruit, nice green aspects showing up, bark, black olives, some spicy notes, nutty aspects, some glue, elegant wood notes --- Palate shines, immediate freshness, lively acidity accompanied by cherry fruit and redcurrants, some blue fruit coming through --- Finishes medium long on its fruit and tart character. Wonderful tonight. Tasty and classy. All elements are nicely integrated and the red fruit acidity core shines. Very nice, needed almost 16 years.

Dark transparent red, blueish shimmer, black core --- Nose mahogany, tobacco leaf, cardboard and red fruit, cherries, nice sour tone, dustiness, some glue --- Palate fresh watery, pretty strong acidity, fruity, red fruited, some nutty notes, mouth watering, orange peel ans some bacon--- Finishes on its tartness and fruitiness. Appears amazingly young, vivid and promises further development. Tasty while a bit challenging. Very good vine.

Enjoyable, but rather disappointing. The nose and attack are as fresh and vibrant as before, the problem being the finish, marred by syrupy flavours that were not apparent a few years ago. Hopefully these will die down and there is certainly enough fruit for it to age further in cellars.

From 75cl, perfect cork, opened 2 hours, decanted off grainy sediment 30 minutes. Generous, full-bodied, juicy Médoc with excellent concentration, silky texture and all the usual Bdx descriptors except "green", "cedar" and "astringent"—just fine by me. Fully mature, but should keep another 5-ish years. Good value at 20 EUR (arrivage 2012). 89P

13.5% alcohol. CS 60%, M 33%, PV 7%. Pretty long cork with no wine penetration. Slightly reduced smell off the neck of the bottle. Decanted for an hour. Dark colour with no sign of ageing. The nose is red fruited and harmonious with barely a suggestion of oak. The mouth is even better with a winning sappy quality; there is acidity but it lends structure to the wine, which is welcome as the tannins are already mostly resolved. Very good …

Practically no change since the bottle opened in 2019, this is still very primary and although delicious, will certainly improve further with more time. The nose was a little more blackcurrant than dark raspberry this time, but the attack was still full of Morello cherry and dark raspberry before the blackcurrant kicks in. Incredible poise and elegance, but what is most striking is the lack of sugar in the fruit. No syrupy flavours, no "heady" alcohol, it tastes pure and …

13.5% alcohol. Very good long cork, more elastic than dense, with no more than 2mm of wine penetration. Decanted an hour ahead. The colour is dark and youthful. Very vivid nose with fresh red berries and a slightly wild component (nothing deviant). No perception of oak. The mouth is a good bit behind at this stage because of a fair dose of unresolved tannins in the finish, imparting a definitely bitter feel; good fruit underneath and well judged acidity. Needs …

Not for the first time, I agree with "Eudemis". Very intense aromas of raspberry with strong hints of blackcurrant, leading into a bright mouthful of Morello cherry and raspberry, only moving into blackcurrants in the middle section, with a long, intense finish. Very crisp and streamlined, but with plenty of roundness and depth, a post-modern wine which tastes nothing like traditional Bordeaux, still less the oaky "modern" variety. Without the Tigger-like fruit of other Haut-Médocs in 2009, which jump up …

13.5% alcohol. Very good long dense cork with no wine penetration. Decanted an hour ahead. A fair bit of deposit. Pretty dark colour. The nose is intense with ripe fresh blackcurrants. The mouth is both silky and lively with fine acidity in the finish; blackcurrant again, of the finest quality. Some soft residual tannins. The élevage is mostly inconspicuous, although it becomes perceptible as the temperature raises in the glass. This wine is at the start of its drinking window, …

Dark red --- Nose cherries, sourness, some smoke, cardboard, blueberry --- Palate watery, red fruit, some elegant wood notes, strong acidity, astringent --- Finishes medium long on sour and red fruit aspects. This vine still appears very young and needs some more years to soften. I do believe in a great development.

Better on the 2nd day. Seemed light and tight on day one. Much more open and substantial on day 2 with some classic Bordeaux structure and character along with the fruit and polish of the vintage. This should last another 5 years without any difficulty.

Day 2 - dark cherry red --- Nose earthy, some elegant wood notes, cherry, sour cherry --- Palate fresh, vivid, fruity, watery, some red fruit, cherries --- Finishes rather short on tartness and some ash. This vine is pretty closed, one day helped him to open up a little bit, yesterday is was no pleasure at all. However, I do believe in a very nice vine two years from now. Nice structure, fruit is present but hiding and the flow …

First of 6. Quite rich on the palate, blackberries, some menthol, tobacco. Rather firm as opposed to elegant. Some signs of maturation already but can hold on for a few more years for sure.

Ready to drink, was very good, cassis, even some bints of stawberry, but light. Was the last bottle, unfortunately, should have bought more...

Given enough air, the fruit mellows and there's lot of secondary character. Rich and very nice.

Decanted for about 2 hrs and wow what a treat. Was surprised I could get this much "wine" out of a petit chateau but I guess this is a testament to the 2009 vintage. rich and opulent. thick and brooding with fresh black currants, cream, sweet toasted oak, cedar, and dried flowers. fresh with chewy fine grain tannins. amazing!

in a word - fresh - as might be expected from an 09 at this juncture but this seems more fresh than just being youthful. Dense red purple; cranberry/tart raspberry aromas and flavors; ample fine-grained tannins and sharply acidic I hope all my '09's contain this bright personality.
