Tulocay Zinfandel Calistoga

Intense color. Nose of sweet lacquer from barrel aging, accentuated by a hint of volatility. Zinfandel berry fruit lurks underneath. Still very young but drinkable now with barbecue, Mexican dishes and spicy Middle Eastern foods. This Zin, along with so many others from small producers in California, are continuously proving that Zin can be exceptional.
