This has become more oaky with time, and it is only in an early drinking window, but Horse Heaven Hills terroir still comes through nicely. Excellent balance and modest alcohol for a quality Washington Bordeaux blend. Well done. 91-92.

Returned to the winery to see if this was as good as I remembered it. It certainly is! This expertly made wine showcases Horse Heaven Hills terroir, and also shows intriguing terroir elements, somewhat reminiscent of Alexander Valley terroir. Powerful yet rounded, great structure, long finish. Thoroughly enjoyable!

What to say about this!? Stunning! Excellent nose and palate. Readily recognizable as having been built for the long haul. Black currant, nuanced terroir, great blending! An Inspiration indeed!
