Gosh this stuff is good. Pouring a bright hazy red color, this is very light on its feet with beautiful cherry fruit and a core of herbs. Excellent on its own, pairs well with lots of food, and its absolutely delicious. I keep reaching for these!

Lovely. Light color. Pretty red strawberry and raspberry fruit. Nice with a little chill. Great on the night I opened and was still drinking well two nights later.

Ruby core to brick edge Nose Red fruit, raspberry, cranberry, floral violet. Spicy licorice root,Rosé pepper, thyme. Light oak nots in the background of nutmeg Palette Juicy, medium acidity. Fine tannins. Red fruit, raspberry, cranberry. Light hints of blood orange. Very spicy Rosé pepper and licorice root. Licorice root lingers for a long time. Violet, thyme. Light barrel notes. Nutmeg, vanilla. Conclusion Did not decant. May need about 0.5-1h. But opens very nicely in the glass.

Very light brownish red, transparent in depth, fresh strawberries, fresh cracked pepper, with a herbed briney salty savoriness on the nose. First sips of fresh cracked peppercorns, watermelon, white strawberry. Fresh, juicy, fresh acidity and wet stone minerality, light bodied, light finish, refreshing and enjoyable. The hardest part is it was finished so quickly!

Now 1.5 hours after decant. Nice aromas of green and brown stems, bark, ripe red and black cherries mixed with baking spices, and some herbs and minerals. Palate with tart red cherries and some black cherries mixed with ripe raspberries and ripe cranberries, bark, brown and green stems, green herbs and nice minerals. Excellent acids on a light plus body with mild tannins on the back end. Nice finish of herbs, bark a touch of Earth and tart red cherries …

Holy smokes. First time trying Trousseau and I knew Sandlands would deliver, as they always do. Light on its feet, crisp fresh and absolutely delicious red. I’m a solid 1 glass per night drinker and I went back for 3rds on this one. This will be an auto buy for future allocations
