Vibrant, great acidity, no sign of advanced old age. Amazing for a village wine what a pleasure to savor and contemplate. Clean aromatics.

Really shows the ripeness of the vintage, to the extent that it really lacks delineation. No better than average.

Popped and poured. Medium ruby. Nose of earth, manure, late-breaking black raspberry fruit, anise. Still tannic on the palate with strong stony structure joined by raspberry and black raspberry elements. Fresh acidity but not much Chambolle lushness. Moderately long finish of dark plum and iron. Good structure and pure fruit but still a bit unyielding. Solid yet ultimately uninspiring village level wine.

Musty red fruits, mud, dried cherries and leather. This village wine is fading, but still had lots to give. Wonderful austerity combined with muddy (somewhat stinky) fruits. Probably only has a year left or so, I'd say..
