Taltarni, Shiraz, Pyrenees

Dark nose of aniseed, black cherry, and raspberry, with well-integrated oak and alcohol. Palate is medium-bodied, with a smooth, silky mouthfeel, and an intense, mouth-filling power: a concentrated punch of fruit, alcohol, oak, and tannin. Flavours of red cherry, cranberry, blueberry, and plum, with a hint of sourness creeping in.

In a great place. Plum and berries, smoke and spice. A bit of typical pyrenees mint thrown in, but it is only deep in the background. Showing no real signs of wear and tear, will continue to drink well for a number of years. Lovely stuff

Medium bodied and complex with blackberries, dark plums and roasted meats. Hard to believe this is Aussie Shiraz.

Dark; this leans towards Rhône, spicey Shiraz underneath but a meaty, beefy, baked overtone spoils the overall impression. Is this in pristine condition? Possible heat damage?

Vibrant magenta red color showing youthfulness. Sophisticated nose with concentrated aromas of blueberries, pepper and mocha. A soft palate followed by a long finish with hints of blackberries and sweet raspberries and layered over some delicious oak flavors

Nicely balanced with a palate highlighted by licorice and leather notes. Not your typical Aussie fruit-bomb.

Had with Michael and Cindy at Wilson's Prom (first night), very nice wine but plenty of others around at that price.
