Freiherr Heyl zu Herrnsheim Riesling Red Slate Spätlese Trocken

80 Points Not much of a nose, certainly nothing interesting but its carries a most striking strawberry blond colour which really suits it. Noticable acidity and I was surprised that it wasn't sweeter so would argue that it has low sugar content. Not Australian Riesling dry but certainly not one for Kabinet lovers everywhere. A rich wine, full mouth feel with a mellow, sweet lime flavour. Hardly delicate but very presentable for the age. A good find.
