Well balanced with its violets, black cherry, menthol, and crisp finish. Only lacking a bit of complextiy to push it to a higher score.

This was our last bottle, drank at the beach with the crew. Blackberry & cherry on the nose and palate, very smooth mouthful, tannins were very tame, this wine has never disappointed.

Drank with a very peppery Italian beef stew when I couldn't find a suitable Italian wine. This was really good. Decanted for about 1 hour. Dark and intense colour. A deep ripe and intense nose, full of dark cherry and blackberry fruit, also hints at the 14.5% alcohol. Palate is full bodied, but silky smooth - rich blackberry and blueberry fruit without being sweet or cloying and juicy currant acidity. Tannins are pretty fine and dry. Very nice balance and …
