Benziger Estate’s flagship wine. This was a very good wine but perhaps a bit of its peak drinking window. A Bordeaux style wine with a very nice nose/aroma, soft tannins and nice finish.

Almost ready - wish I had another bottle to open in 3-5 years. Immediately after opening, some odd volatiles on the palate. Half an hour later, they were gone. Faded ruby in the glass with a hint of brown. Dried plum on the nose. Amazingly soft, refined, and balanced for what was a big cab when younger. After 2 hours, nearly perfect, with a hint of tannins remaining. Drink happily now or hold a bit longer if it's been cellared …

Wine had a jammy feel to me. Showed some age, but could go longer. Tannins still present, but not overpowering at all. Awesome wine.

- Crimsom color with medium forming legs and aromas of strawberry jam. It's balanced and has flavours of tea, tobacco, raspberry, raisin and chocolate with a full body. Fleshy texture with a long finish.

i had purchased several bottles of this from the winery in 2008. I opened two last night and they both had turned. I store them in a EuroCave, so not sure if anyone else experienced this...

75% Cabernet Sauvifnon, 19% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot. Surprisingly soft and mellow, yet with round, plush tannins. If tasted blind I would have guessed Merlot. Started resembling a Cabernet Sauvignon after 45 minutes upon opening, with green notes on the nose, and a leaner profile on the palate; finish was a little too hot; 14.5% ABV. Would pair well with a steak topped with blue cheese; also paired well with 70% dark chocolate, so maybe try it …

- Brick color and aromas of black currant. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant and blackberry with a medium/full body. Fleshy texture with a medium finish - Excellent.

Decanted for two hours. Deep dried fruit on the nose... rich blackberry and currant on the palate, with well-balanced tannins to make it rich yet drinkable...

Sooo good. Dark berries and spice with great tannins that should continue to mellow. This will have great staying power.

Kind of thin and unappealing, and a little green.

Awesome. Not much more I can ask for. Dark fruit, lovely nose, wonderful mouthfeel, firm tannins, with a long and balanced finish. It certainly would age well. Hopefully I can hold on to one for 5 or 10 years.

Awesome. Such a great biodynamic wine. The palate is long and rich. Typical Tribute. Lush deep red berries. Nice acidity on the finish. Velvety and opulent. Classic Sonoma powerhouse Cabernet blend.
