A very pure wine. fresh and vibrant.

Drank over 3 days. the wine is cloudy. Smells nice with some white fruit, minerality and saltiness. I like the freshness on the palate. there is a small element in it that I can't identify but also don't like. Something chemical. The aftertaste is long, fresh and tasty

La Fleur au Verre is a single varietal Chardonnay without added sulfur. It comes from the site La Corvée aux Moines near Puligny-Montrachet and was harvested quite early. After slow pressing and a spontaneous fermentation, the wine underwent a malolactic fermentation on the full lees and was aged in large barrels for six months. Zzzing! Salty lemon - volatile and reductive, in the most positive sense. Medium bodied, medium alcohol, hiigh acidity and firm grip. Just a kick of instant unfiltered energy! Bottled under glass cap and gifted from Julien.

Bought it straight from the domain (amazing winemaker with a great vision). This is clearly the funky cuvee, as you can smell the reduction on the opening and the opacity of the wine. After 1h30 of oxygenation, it opens on very mineral, green apple and citrusy notes. A lot of grip, tension, very nice minerality on the finish. Great if you like this type of wines.
