The time as come for me to pop that!! The nose was incredible and so complexe, from start to finish. Decanted for 3 hours then drank over a period of 3 hours. Amazing but I feel like i did not enjoy thetaste as much as I enjoyed the aroma from the nose. Poor cellar conditions.... still a great bottle, but in my mind this bottle is ready to go now 93pts Santé!

Was expecting a little more here. Nice earthy mushroom and cherry nose. Really promising. The palate was fairly one dimensional but enjoyable with tart cherry and strawberry the dominant flavors. Finishes short but with firm acidity. May be worth waiting to see if it evolves.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL) : Tasting, brief note. Roasted meat and mushroom are center stage here with firm, powerful black fruit. Hold for a few more years.

A bit of blackpeppercorns on the nose , really like bah kut teh. Underbrush dark Cherry fruits. Delicious with some creme cherry liquer. Super balanced and with depth of fruit. Well balanced with fresh minerality.

Cherry nose of birchy leafiness, stone dust, peppery spice and animality. Medium bodied with drying tannins, refreshing acidity and balanced fruit. Densely structured. Nice meaty notes, liquorice. lifting herbaceousness and even a touch of barnyard. Oak and raspberry pips in the lengthy aftertaste. Very nice stuff.

Smells like white and black pepper porky soup aka bakuteh. Palate is crystal clear, and light fruitiness, and some spiciness of peppercorns. Concentrated fruits with nice acidity. This can go far.

Burgundy 2011 Day 5: Visit to Domaine Taupenot-Merme (Morey-St. Denis, Burgundy) : Wow - I really liked this, it was certainly punching above its weight. Very Gevrey on the nose here - some red peppercorn scents sprinkled over sweet red cherries and raspberries, a bit of meat some ferrous mineral. Very nice. It was the palate that really grabbed the attention though. This had a lovely clarity - pure, so transparent, it had some lovely sweet red strawberry fruit, but …
