Ladd Cellars Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

Tasted after 30 minutes of air. Pale garnet color. Tangy strawberry fruit with firm crunch. Interesting tension here between the sweet fruit and high acid. Some green tea. Finish is on the lighter side.

very savory, almost baconish with a tart background. quite undrinkable.

Decanted for one hour at 67 degrees and just excellent right from the get go. Color is edging toward transparent on the fringe with no bricking. Nice fruit on the nose with cherry on the palate but not overpowering. Some tannins still present and contributing to a nice finish. Great complement to maple soy grilled salmon. Ladd consistently delivers excellent CA Pinots and this one is no different.

Generally agree w other notes but a bit tart for my tastes

Tart red fruit on the nose. Cherries, raspberries and rhubarb. Really fruit forward (I'm guessing destemmed or minimal whole cluster usage), but with a solid tight acid structure. Medium bodied. Dried cherry and earth. Wonderful Pinot. Great qpr & has plenty of time left in the bottle. Very well balanced.

Cherry colored with aromas of raspberries and white flowers. The flavors are somewhat tart; rhubarb and underripe raspberry with just a hint of herbs. There's a nice brightness here, like there's sunshine in the glass, with good acidity and fine tannins. A joy to drink now.
