Woops! Missed on the proper notes this time too but still an easy going, food friendly, enjoyable wine. Would buy more...

No formal notes but spiced cherry pie flavors that lead to meaty mid-palate with nice acidity. Finish is a brambly and bit earthy (while showing some heat). An enjoyable wine; proper notes next time...

Alcohol is out of balance with the wine and shows more heat than you would expect from 14%. The wine is single dimensional. Was hoping to find a good QPR "pizza wine," but this isn't it.

The nose shows some alcohol, which is unappealing. But once I get past it, I get some smoked meat notes, blueberry and unripe plum. A good amount of wood on this nose too. On the palate is some seriously tart blueberries. The wine is relatively light in body and also tastes of brambles. The finish of bitter cranberries persists.

I got a lot of raspberry on the nose and palate. It didn't pair all that well with top sirloin ... I had higher hopes. I didn't think it was all that smooth or well balanced.

93 - Excellent lots of rich, dark fruits on both the nose and palate...a great drink and awesome QPR @ $15...I was really amazed by this wine when I opened it...although it has lots of ripe/sweet fruit, it is quite elegant, and very easy to drink

The nose was distinctly Grenache, with notes of Cherry & Strawberry. This was a medium bodied Rhone blend that was good by itself but got much better with food. A good value for around $20.

Rich red color. Vibrant cherry cobbler nose. Almost carbonated feel on entry. Medium-bodied. Palate showed red fruit, clove, cedar, prune and pepper. A touch of heat precedes a medium finish. Enjoyed with a semi-spicy ginger beef dish that was a tough meal to pair.

Had this last month in San Fransisco at the great restaurant Town Hall. I found the note in my murse. First bottle corked. Handled very well by the staff. Deep red. Very perfumed Grenache nose. Flowers, raspberries and vanilla. A bit sweet on entry but nice balance. Very good with food.

2009 Family Winemakers of California San Diego Tasting (Del Mar Fairgrounds) : This offers a superb high-toned nose of fresh cherry, herbs, and raspberry. Sweet raspberry liqueur flavors on the earth driven palate finishing brilliantly with cherry tone and good acidity. Great complexity, balance, and freshness, like the better 2007 Côtes du Rhônes I have had.

slight funk on the aromatics. Primary fruit is very up front and sweet but throgh the middle, the wine gets more interesting. Needs time for the fruit to settle down and integrate. Very nice and a solid bargain.

Great juice for 18 bucks! Approachable for a young CORE, nice food wine but stands on its own fine too. Well done!

Beautiful juice! Medium bodied red-purple wine. Nice blueberry, strawberries on the nose, the same on the palate with a gentle pepper bite, fine tannins, with a medium finish. Very balanced, tannins not overpowering, fruit carried the alcohol well; a nice bottle of wine. This was our first bottle from Core; my wife loved it and we finished the bottle the same night (we usually drink one over two days). Good QPR, definitely worth getting more. Looking forward to trying the …

Surprisingly restrained GSM blend. Slightly stewed prunes on the nose, with a little blueberry, and strawberries. If anything, the wine seems to be more oriented to the Morevedre/Grenache flavors than the Syrah. Very nice with food, good balance, great value at $20.
