Napa Valley Wine and Food Excursion 2013; 9/30/2013-10/5/2013 (Napa Valley, California) : Currants, figs, anise and clove characterize the aromas and flavors of this deep ruby wine. Full-bodied and with medium acidity, it wraps its flavors in medium sweet tannins. The alcohol integrates nicely and the middle palate is solid. Closing with medium length, this is a Cabernet which is well-made but does not quite reach the outstanding quality mark. Drink now-2020.
