Medium/lighter body on the palate: pink/white grapefruit, guava, lemon/lime, and starfruit/passionfruit framed by lemongrass, parsley, cucumber, white pepper, orange zest, oyster shell, and river stone. Color is good. This may seem strange, but this wine reminds me a little bit of a dry Alsatian Riesling in the nose, but that soon settles down. Nose and taste are better with about five to 10 minutes of air. Grapefruit, pineapple flavors and acidity dominate, along with honeydew melon and touch of minerality. Finish of dry, sour, peach. I remember liking the 2010 a bit more (19 cases produced that year), but that is not a big deal. …
