Au nez et en bouche, ce vin est très parfumé. Sa texture est soyeuse et homogène, un peu plus longiligne et léger que les 2 autres. La finale est courte, c’est très bon mais un peu mince (surtout considérant que c’est le plus cher des 3…). Le lendemain, il a développé une touche végétale donc me semblait meilleur le 1er soir.

Burgundy Tasting (Ivy, George Street, Sydney) : Muted caramel and ripe red berry fruit, slight metallic quality…spiced ripe red fruit but all a bit anonymous. Meh

Nose: raspberry, orange rind, white pepper, clove Pal: blackberry, licorice, dirt, orange rind, black pepper, clove, sour cherries, acidic Feel: medium, savory Finish: medium, long T7

Chambolle Musigny and Morey St. Denis from 2011 and 2009 (Beltramo's, Menlo Park) : Deeper ruby. A Rhone-like nose of charred oak and bacon. Light weight, woody base. Pleasant red fruit and all of that smoky char at the center. Not bad but it bears no resemblance to Chambolle.

Floral, red fruits, touch blueberry and spice and sweet balsamic aroma. Delicate on palate with light impact of raspberry and balsamic leading into strawberry/floral mid-palate and more savoury finish. Very well balanced.
