I was shocked how good this was. Beautiful golden color, soft nose and soft in the mouth. Buttery, probably more oaky than is popular these days. Mellow.

This is a bit creamy and a tad sweet, but clearly Monterey fruit (pineapple-sh) with some oak. Pretty good wine at this price point. Perfect wine with chicken pot pie with puff pastry. Won't be everyone's style, but that said: Makes no sense to give a poor rating to a good wine that is just not your style at all- rate based on varietal correctness, depth/character and what the vintner set out to accomplish. I have rated wines highly that …

Wine bloggers like me need to get off there high horse and acknowledge formula driven chardonnays like this one. Given the bottle, I decided to have tonight .... and I must say ... not bad. Sweetish both on the nose and in mouth. Creamy and sweetish but enjoyable. I like it.

More fruity than expected. Vanilla, pear. Fat yet good acidity. Would be better with food.

It's ok. Mild pleasant flavors, nothing very exciting. Slightly metallic finish.

Not much of a nose, just a hint of green apple and citrus. It has a clean and smooth delivery of just there lightly buttered apples with an ephemeral, slightly metallic finish. This has been manufactured to be easy drinking, and it is, but there isn't much going on with it.

Skewed heavily towards melons, guava and other tropical fruit, which was a surprise to me. Ended up pairing well with Asian food.

Not my style of Chardonnay as my taste leans toward Pouilly-Fuissé and Chardonnays from Mâcon and the Côte Chalonnaise. Quite fruity and tropical — papaya and mango anybody? Tasted blind, one might guess it a Viognier. A good value, nonetheless, for Chardonnay neophytes.

Oak and fruit seems well-integrated, giving that nice balance between buttery, oaky and crispy.

Straw-hued. Aromas and flavors of butter, coconut, cream, oak, papaya, passionfruit, pear, and vanilla. Medium-full body and medium-high acidity. A finish of lemon and minerals on the palate. Very approachable and easy to drink; a solid example of a sub-$15 California Chardonnay.

13.5% alcohol; appears to be a plastic cork.but the medium-weight foil is definitely metallic rather than paper; long legs, light amber color, nose of alcohol and caramel; full mouthfeel, notes of caramel, cinnamon, oak, woody forest floor; balance of tannins with sourness, bitterness, sweetness is decent, medium finish trails off into what the Germans call a Duft (scent) of caramel; pair with baby back ribs

I picked this up when i was buying a few bottles that I really wanted - this one I grabbed because it looked familiar. As soon as I tasted it the reason for the familiarity came back. In the early 90s, when I would fly home to Australia from the UK it was Lohr chardonnay that was usually served in the economy cabin. Not much on the nose. Lots of tropical yellow fruit on the palate, full body, plenty fo …

Good fruit flavors showing tropical fruit flavors with a medium finish. Malolactic fermentation is evident with a pleasant amount of oak. Best if not served overly chilled to allow the round mouth feel and fruit flavors to show their stuff. This wine is similar to Wente Riva Ranch from the same area however it costs $6 less.

With Kathy and Miranda at home at dinner (pasta del sol). Nice light golden straw color. Good viscosity. Sweet cream aroma, reminiscent of a French burgundy. Palate initially matches the nose before giving way to a somewhat acrid, oaky finish. High acid. 5-10-12-6: 83/100.
