Macerated cherry, dying autumn leaves, twiggy grip. Slippery smooth. Really easy to drink. Moderate length. 90 or 91.

This has really come together and expressing itself since two years I last tasted. A very pretty pinot.

Light red colour. Nose dominated by eucalypthus. Afterwards, ripe cherries and hints of oak. Soft and pleasant fruit on the palate. Good balance. Spice and minerals. Good lenght. Nice, light pinot.

Light tawny-ish color. Nose is typical Yarra, with open cherry fruit, orange peel, and clove. Palate is really pretty--perfumed red fruit, more orange, more baking spices. Really a solid example of Yarra pinot. Silky tannins in the background, with plenty of acid to keep the whole thing in check. Quite light bodied.

Return to Aus; 6/23/2019-7/5/2019 (Adelaide, South Australia wine regions, Tassie, Yarra, etc.) : Agree with the previous notes. This wine almost seems to exist to show how much better the single vineyards and reserve Pinots are. This is very basic. Comes across as almost a touch chemical. Meant to be a cheap and easy to drink wine and it's just a bit too much of that for me.

This is the basic entry label for Coldstream Hills, and the reserve and single vineyard wines are much better. So don't expect a great wine. This is an "okay" sort of wine with no claim to greatness. The nose is a little sharp and shows cranberry and red cherry characters, with only a touch of oak in the background. The palate is light to medium bodied, with red fruit, a touch of spice and oak, and a slight astringent, green/herbal …

The best of a disappointing trio.

Probably a little too acidic, a subdued cherry palate and not up to the previous 2 vintages. Expected better.

Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern) : Pretty jubey red berry fruit, a little woody spice. More of the same on the palate.
