Last of six bottles, but by far the best. Everything finally integrated and balanced. Nice, restrained Cab. Leaning toward modern, but firmly in an old school mold. Delicious.

Too much time has passed since drinking this to give it a fair rating or tasting note. I will simply say that we drank it after a few hours in the decanter. We drank it with a 2014 La Sirena Napa Cab that had also been decanted for around 3 hours. Of the 4 wine lovers that night, two preferred the Anakota, and two preferred the La Sirena, but it was close and all four of us really liked both …

Pnp'd into a decanter 3+ hours before taking over to HMCs for dinner. Immediate and striking nose of fresh matchstick. It slowly gives way over the first 20 minutes. The wine is dark garnet in the glass with a ruby red ring fading into a slightly clear meniscus at glass edge. As the matchstick fades a red raspberry/lavender nose rises. Maybe a hint of camphor or eucalyptus there also. First sips.....20-30 mins open. Soft mouth feel on entry, decidedly red …

Wow...my first Anakota Cab and what a powerhouse. Expressive, rich and fruit forward...there is big blackberry fruit with some of my favorite notes of mocha, dark chocolate, cassis and dark cherries with hints of tobacco and graphite on the finish. Wonderfully complex with strong active tannins that need a 90 minute decant to settle down. This is a terrific Cab with some Bordeaux roots in it.

Drank after 25 minutes in open bottle. Nice full nose with heavy oak accents. On first few sips the oak was too predominant and wine was unbalanced. By second glass, after a good swirling, the oak had dissipated and the wine was much more harmonious. Plenty of good fruit left, this still has lots of time for drinking. Not very tannic. No sediment. If I drink this again within the next year or two I think I'd give it a …

Just a decent, new world cab. Very fruit forward, but still fairly light on its feet. No real complexity to me, although had decent spice notes on the backend.

Exceptional. Much more to offer than when first purchased. A hedonistic blend of berry and bramble. Dark purple and concentrated, medium to heavy mouth feel. Aromas of herbs and blackberry pie.

In a very good drinking window right now. This was part of a 10+ bottle dinner party with a strong line up. A good representation of a Napa Cab. Not as complex as others in the lineup, but held it's own in the middle of the pack.

Amazing wine. Needs a long decant and will only get much better with age. Deep, dark, strong mountain fruit cab.

No new ground broken here, but a very respectable and finely crafted Knights Valley Cabernet. Removed from a 54 degree active cellar and decanted for 1 hour. Nice nose of blackberry, menthol, cassis, and dark cherry. Decent attack with moderate density and richness on the palate. Somewhat clipped on the back end. Decent taste profile with blackberry, coffee grounds, earth, and dark cherry. Lacks the distinction and complexity of say a Peter Michael offering from the same geographic area. Somewhat …

Dark maroon center purple edge. Blackberry black currant chocolate coffee. Extremely rich with very fine tannin. Finishes fruity and long. Could use a stronger thread of tannin or acidity. But very very enjoyable now.

Three hour decant. Fragrant nose of dark fruit and cocoa. Smooth palate and nice long finish. This wine had a notable richness to it.

I wasn't familiar with this winery so fun to try (off a Vino Volo menu at DTW). It's the better side of the Sonoma cabs - those that are maybe less straight fruit and still have a touch of a spice and dirt to them. Not particularly high acidity, but not completely none either as some Cali cabs do. This is the kindof wine that I'd like to pair with food. Prob some sortof roast beef sandwich or similar.

Clear very deep garnet. Black licorice, chocolate, tobacco, cinnamon. Medium acids, high tannins. Leather, oak, cherry. Long balanced finish. Consider hold for another five years.
