This was a little lean and disjointed - some apricot, peach, and floral notes alongside the signature botrytis aromas, but just not very energetic. Was not at the level of the Nyulaszo from the same year that we opening recently.

NSG night with LT and friends I brought this one - well received "really notable for an amazing balance of sweetness and acidity. It was 6 puttonyos but carried the sugar so gracefully." miniral/metallic nose heavy viscous mouthfeel but with acidity that kept it vivid marmalade and cooked fruit

Tasted at Wine & Spirits Top 100, NYC. Delicious. Apricot butterscotch and more apricot. Bright acidity and fleshy. Honey. Great length. Beautiful wine.

From memory so no detailed notes except that this was pure infanticide. Sure it was pleasing and charming with apricot and honey. But for this wine that means dumb and closed. Just bury this beauty for a long time. Score : 93+ and I have no idea how high. Relative to expectations: who knows?

This amber coloured Tokaj Aszu is made from grapes from the Betsek vineyard. It has heady aromas of intense apricot, acacia and Bartlett pear. There is elegant sweetness and flavour of apricot and canned peach. It is nicely balanced in sweetness and acidity.
