Michel Falmet Champagne Histoire

A lovely, lemon sherbet flavoured, young tasting, champagne. Some hint of brioche flavours on the nose but not much on the palate at the moment. Very clean finish. Purchased for £32, I would call this a bargain at this price. Should age well.

A very interesting and complex champagne. The first notes on the nose was hay, grass and charcuterie. On the palate I found lots of typical summer notes such white flowers and fruits. I think it’s very drinkable now and for another 10 years.

Golden yellow colour with a mature nose showing notes of chocolate, red apples and some fresh herbs. Nice and creamy with a lemon acidity on the mature palate and with a very intense finish. (Best 2011-2031)

(Disgorged in April 2016, 70% PN and 30% CH, dosage 4 gr/l) Still lighter golden yellow in colour as it’s been preserved by the yeast and stored at the producer until 2019. Maturing nose showing butterscotch, cream and red apples in a pleasant way. Palate shows a lovely intense red apples acidity and a creaminess on the mid before the lengthy lime peel bitterness.
