My first post: I just started using cellar tracker (a great program). as I finished inputting my 392 bottles I asked the question, what's past it's prime, CT brought up this wine. I must say that I bought this wine on one of my first wine trips to napa. I bought a case, and have enjoyed it over the last years. , The truth is I didn't even know I had it until I inventoried my mines to put them …

Pleasantly surprised. Deep dark fruit, nice texture and fine tannin that carried the wine on the palate. Nowhere near as great as the 1997, but good nonetheless.

Still drinking alright. Still deep red in the glass and not really getting that brick color around the edges. I think the drinking window on this is all wet - drinking now but don't think it will improve with further cellaring. Flavors have settled with the tannins on this wine and have integrated nicely. Get a big steak on the bbq and enjoy this one now!

very average wine. Color not quite right, taste seemed muted with no real outstanding flavors.

Same complaint I have with every single wine from St. Francis - the synthetic cork does not hold with any time in the cellar. The color was off and the flavor diminished by the taste of plastic. Unfortunate, because the wine still had backbone. Wish I could have tasted it with a real cork or even a Stevlin closure.

Ok, not great, fruit was a bit lacking, followed some really good wines though.

More Tobacco than last time, along with fresh cut grass as well as coffee. Heavy big wine that makes an impression. Loved it, wish I had more.

Dark red. Great full flavor and mouthfeel. Coffee, dark chocholate on the nose. Clean finish with integrated tanins. Drinking great now.

Closed, not that impressive, especially at the $65 suggested price.
